JOB PURPOSE As an Accountant, Inventory, you will be responsible for the Record to Report ("RTR") Inventory tasks within the Burberry Finance function, playing a key role in the accuracy of stock and materials management.
This is an exciting role which supports and facilitates various decisions from budgeting and forecasting, to projects, GR/IR and accounting policy and internal controls.
This Accountant, Inventory role is offered on a full time, permanent basis and will be based in our Queen Street, Leeds office for 2/3 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES Execution of RTR transactions and reports, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and local compliance work within Inventory activities Assisting in various aspects of inventory and wider finance tasks such as GR/IR, Intercompany Clearing, budgeting, business partnering and supporting with projects Supporting the Inventory Senior Accountant and Inventory Finance Manager with functional and entity requests and requirements, requests from external auditors, ad hoc queries and analysis Support on RMX (Raw Material Excess) related activities where required Involvement in bi-annual stocktake process Ensure compliance with the Group Policies, including operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting PERSONAL PROFILE Completed or working towards a professional accounting qualification e.g.
ACA, CA, ACCA or CIMA Accounting role within a large, listed, multinational company is desirable Experience in applying IFRS or local accounting GAAP is required SAP training and certification is desirable.
