Job Description Job Opportunity: Accountant - Join a Growing Finance Team!
\n Brook Street Recruitment is excited to bring this fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join a respected finance team, working closely with the Head of Finance and gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting principles, who is enthusiastic about furthering their career and aiming to become a Chartered Accountant.
\n Key Responsibilities: \n As a Trainee Accountant, you will have the opportunity to build your skills in: \n \n \n Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly management accounts, handling bank and revenue reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations \n \n Accounts Management: Managing accounts receivable and payable, processing sales invoices, allocation receipts, supplier reconciliations, and conducting payment runs \n \n Reconciliation & Payroll: Working with petty cash, company credit cards, and payroll preparation \n \n Audit & Analysis: Assisting with annual audits and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive insights \n \n Team Collaboration: Keeping managers and directors informed on progress, and actively participating in internal briefings and de-brief sessions \n \n You will also be supported in fulfilling your training agreement requirements and working towards further ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualifications.
\n What We're Looking For: \n To excel in this role, you'll need: \n \n Strong communication skills, both written and verbal \n The ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment \n A commitment to managing both work and study responsibilities effectively \n A proactive approach to building positive relationships with colleagues and clients \n Quick learning abilities and numeracy skills, alongside a desire to share knowledge and support team growth \n \n Qualifications & Skills: \n \n \n Professional Exams: At least four to five ACCA, CIMA, or ACA exams passed \n \n Education: University degree with a 2:1 or higher in any discipline (or equivalent) \n \n Technical Knowledge: A good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting \n \n With full support for further professional qualifications, this role is perfect for someone looking to grow within a forward-thinking finance team and make a genuine impact.
