We are delighted to be recruiting for a new role for our client, a large supplier to major retailers and supermarkets who are looking for an experienced merchandiser/ account manager with a proven track record working within baby wear to oversee the end-to-end process of their baby wear brands .
This role requires someone who is detail orientated and ideally with experience working with production in Sri Lanka and the Far East and is confident dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Main responsibilities will include: Communicate with Buyers / customers on day-to-day issues.
Required to build and maintain good working relationships both within the team and with other teams/departments within the Company.
Overseeing the critical path with Far East Merchandising Team Coordinate activity of garment tech, merchandising and design teams to ensure on-time delivery of product development projects.
General Admin, chasing samples, organising samples, taking photos of garments, keeping clear records of submits and approvals.
Where appropriate, should be able to negotiate prices in line with customer requirements and targets and agree cost prices with customers.
Represent company interests to third parties, including customers, suppliers and manufacturers.
General administrative work that might be required for the fulfilment of the assignments in hand.
Travel in UK Knowledge of how land shipment process work - shipment booking, docs checklist & transit request for customer call offs Person Specifications: A proven track record working within babywear Apparel knowledge of babywear essential- soft/ home accessories highly desirable Relevant supplier experience within wholesale merchandising/ account management Extremely strong attention to detail required.
Sri Lanka production experience preferred.
Dynamic, hands-on go-getter who can think on their feet.
Able to work under pressure with autonomy.
