nimbl is working on behalf of a leading brand activation agency looking to recruit an experienced Account Director.
The agency is an award winning agency, representing some of the most iconic brands helping their clients win fans for brands, through a unique mix of sampling, experiential and influencer marketing.
Title: Account Director Salary: £55,000 Location: Berkshire (3 days per week) Purpose of role Acting as a trusted advisor to your clients you will be responsible for developing innovative and forward-thinking tactical and strategic solutions that support the delivery of client's campaign goals, inclusive of but not limited to Sampling & Experiential.
The Account Director will also be responsible for the successful delivery of campaigns by co-ordinating the resource needed to service the projects, building operational plans and managing the expectations of the client.
You will be a mentor to Campaign Managers within the team and will work very closely with internal departments at (creative, finance, talent, production) so will need exceptional stakeholder management experience.
This is an fast paced role which is extremely hands on so there is significant UK travel / time away from home during the busy periods of the year as being on site and attending events is a key expectation.
A high level of attention to detail is required for this role and the standard of execution of events is paramount to the relationship we have with our customer from the production to build to the Brand Ambassador team we have working on our activations.
You will identify and develop new business opportunities to exceed revenue goals and expand the portfolio of services we provide.
Responsibilities of the role Client relations - Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Understand category-specific landscapes and trends.
- Establish and foster partnerships and relationships with key customers both externally and internally.
- Respond to client briefs to establish a clear project plan for each campaign.
Strategic and tactical planning - Act as a key point of contact to oversee the delivery of campaigns to schedule, managing SLAs, turnaround times and campaign costs with client.
- Work with teams internally to develop best-in-class campaigns, reviewing and assessing to ensure the very highest quality of output from the team.
- Look for opportunities to promote the expansion of our business with existing clients.
- Manage reporting and analysis of campaigns and agency performance at the completion of the campaign for clients and internal review.
- Collaborate both internally and externally with other stakeholders (including agencies), to ensure a consistent and joined up approach to the campaign requirements - Use your skills to push clients, and the agency, creatively and strategically.
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our reach with our customer.
Commercial acumen - Own and achieve/exceed quarterly targets for the account.
- Prepare forecasts for use in financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning.
- Provide financial leadership to the Campaign Management Team and closely train/mentor Campaign Managers to achieve our commercial goals.
- Achieve agreed KPIs and work within agreed margin targets.
Qualifications, knowledge & experience A degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject, and/or The last 4 years in managerial positions within a similar agency environment working with reputable FMCG / retail / food / health & beauty brands Experience in a similar client-relationship management role with the ability to carefully manage expectations and build strategic working relationships
