Role & Responsibilities: Client liaison and consulting on the strategic direction of accounts under your remit, gaining the respect and trust of the clients Working closely with clients and healthcare professionals to understand their needs and translate these into opportunities for developing high-quality solutions Developing an understanding of new therapy areas quickly and comprehensively, inspiring confidence in the client Contributes and oversees the development, management and logistics and content of a range of healthcare advertising projects Shows thoroughness in developing tactical plans, including budgets and timelines Maintain a strategic overview of the account, proactively advise the client on new issues/external environment and contribute to strategic planning meetings with the client Leading new business initiatives, including attendance and presentation at pitch meetings Help drive new business development.
Explore opportunities with former clients and contacts as much as possible.
Play an active role in new business pitches, leading on specific elements Manage and take proactive steps to maximise client profitability through accurate budgeting and budget tracking Lead and motivate the team to fulfil their potential and assume responsibility appropriate to their position Training and developing a team and conducting performance reviews and appraisals Requirements: Degree (science, preferably life science) High level of drive, motivation, and initiative Ability to motivate, lead by example, train, mentor, develop and share best practice Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Expert presentation skills Ability to problem-solve effectively and make decisions Awareness of industry guidelines and best practice and their application Significant experience working in a healthcare advertising agency #medcomms #medicalcommunications #medicalwriter #medicaleducation #healthcareadvertising #healthcare #pharma Account Director – Healthcare Advertising
