The Role Edelman are now looking for an experienced Account Director to join the Health Team and work on one of our biggest pharma accounts.
As an Account Director in the team you will be charged to develop and lead client relationships, exemplifying best practice in client management. Partnering closely with clients and understanding their business objectives, you will counsel them on communications marketing strategy and will drive every aspect of creating and implementing innovative communications marketing programmes. This role will see you contributing to the development of plans and overseeing client campaigns and project teams, delivering integrated projects across data and regulatory milestones, digital disease awareness campaigns, media relations, policy and public affairs, thought leadership, patient engagement, etc.
As a strong leader you will also work as part of the Health Brand's senior leadership team to support the aims of the department, and will lead and contribute to the winning of new client business and organic account growth.

Key ExperienceA background in life sciences, experience working in the Health PR sector or equivalent, resulting in understanding of health regulations, ABPI Code, technical terminology, etc.Experience working in PR or similar communications marketing field, with agency experience preferred.Experience working on Local, Regional and Global projects is preferred.Experience working on integrated and Medical Device projects is preferred.Demonstrated ability to effectively multitask, delegate and manage assignments in a fast-paced environment.Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.Record of accurate client-related finance management.Evidence of strong media, influencer and stakeholder networks. Key SkillsSuperior written and verbal communications skills.Ability to manage and inspire a team to make sound judgements.Excellent organisational and planning skills.Ability to think creatively and ensure a good level of creative output across the team.Strong media relations skills and ability to 'sell a story' and communicate effectively with the media or influencers.Client liaison and interface skills e.g. leading client meetings, managing day to day contact.Ability to present ideas confidently and persuasively.
