Accommodations Officer

Job Title: Accommodations Officer Location: Swale and Maidstone Rate of Pay: £21 P/H (Umbrella) We are currently looking for an experienced Accommodations Officer to join the Housing Team at Swale and Maidstone Council.
This is a temporary contract to cover long term sick leave.
Main Duties: Oversee tenancy sign-ups, enforce tenancy conditions, manage anti-social behaviour cases, and support tenants in sustaining their tenancies.
Conduct property inspections, ensure compliance with safety regulations, manage repairs, and oversee void property turnaround.
Work with the Housing Finance Team to manage rent collection, address arrears, and handle tenancy enforcement actions, including eviction if necessary.
Assist tenants with housing needs, maintain accurate records in council systems, and respond to complaints while ensuring compliance with council policies.
The Candidate Will Have: Knowledge of tenancy agreements, enforcement actions, and managing cases such as anti-social behaviour and rent arrears.
Ability to address tenant complaints, resolve disputes, and offer support to vulnerable residents, including those in temporary accommodation.
Ability to communicate clearly with residents, resolve issues, and provide support throughout the tenancy.
