Scholars School System is a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006) is seeking an Academic Manager across all campuses including Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford, and Leicester, based in the Birmingham campus.
Scholars School System is a national independent higher education provider, offering world-class education.
Taught programmes, ranging from Foundation Year through to Level 7, delivered in partnership with institutions such as Leeds Trinity University.

Purpose
The organization seeks to appoint an Academic Manager that will provide strategic vision and leadership at both academic and non-academic levels, developing effective relationships to meet the highest standards and managing curriculum development.
Responsibilities

To provide the strategic vision and leadership for the organisation both on Academic and non-Academic levels under the management of the Dean / CEO.

To contribute to the institutional strategy in learning and teaching, and to participate in the numerous boards, committees and panels of the College.
.
To liaise with the Directors of the College to ensure the effective management of all academic systems.
.
To develop an effective working relationship with Directors to meet the highest standards of corporate governance.
.
To enhance the reputation of the Organisation for academic excellence, quality, and engagement.
.
Setting deadlines and confirming with relevant partners.
.
Monitoring of formative and summative assessment (with assistance from Controller of Examination).
.
Review of documents such as student handbook, programme handbook, etc.
.
Managing the development of timetables and curriculum plans.
.
Managing quality team in coordinating learning walks and teaching observations.
.
Preparation for all partner meetings including data collation, report writing and arranging pre-meetings.
.
Assessment Panels, moderation reports and standardization meetings.
.
Lead student feedback processes across all programmes including student representation, module evaluation and student experience surveys.
.
Extra-curricular activities such as social events, guest lectures and various workshops.
.
To provide effective leadership of the College to both its staff and students and to external stakeholders.
.
To organise, direct and manage the College and lead the staff as appropriate to the matrix line management structure.
.
To be a member of key committees and to represent the interests of the organisation.
.
To provide effective management of all systems, staff and resources made available to the organisation.
.
To contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of organisation plans and policies
.
To ensure that the Scholars School System is effectively represented and promoted in local and regional forums and that information from external sources is disseminated widely throughout the campus.

Arranging regular progress meetings.

Arranging efficient inductions of new members of staff.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Work experience in education and management roles
- Skills in managing learning, teaching, and staff in higher education
- Experience in Educational Oversight and/or QAA inspections
- Involvement in program validation at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Understanding of UK higher education sector issues, particularly in learning and teaching
- Experience managing resources in an educational context

- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience
- Occasional trips away from the office are required
- 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
- Up to £5k annual incentives (pro-rata, given quarterly upon meeting KPIs)
- 3% annual increase after successful probation and KPI completion
