Company Description AVOLCA is a talent management company committed to nurturing and developing the careers of international music producers and artists.
We work closely with a select roster, providing strategic direction, fostering creative growth, and building valuable brand partnerships.
We're a small but driven team with big ambitions, and we're looking for someone equally passionate and creative to join us.
Role Description We're looking for an A&R Admin Intern who is not only organised and efficient but also a creative thinker who can contribute fresh ideas and strategic insights.
This entry-level internship involves supporting the administrative side of talent management, while also offering a space for you to get involved in creative decisions.
You'll work directly with our roster of international producers & artists, handling comms and administrative tasks while helping drive innovation across our projects.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone starting out in the music industry who's looking to grow their network, gain hands-on industry experience, and make a name for themselves.
This role offers flexibility with remote work, but candidates should be available for key events and meetings as needed.
Key Responsibilities: Creative & Strategic Input Contribute innovative ideas to enhance AVOLCA's projects, brand collaborations, and artist development.
Proactively identify opportunities for growth and new creative directions, working alongside the team to execute those ideas.
Talent Support & Communication Support AVOLCA's roster of international producers by managing their communications and keeping track of project details.
Coordinate schedules, update project statuses, and ensure timely follow-ups with all key stakeholders.
Project & Brand Coordination Assist in managing international projects such as Eurosync, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly from both a logistical and creative standpoint.
Help maintain relationships with current brand partners like Sony Music Publishing, AU Vodka, and Rich London, while suggesting new ways to deepen these collaborations.
Event Participation & Networking Attend music events, both domestic and international, to represent AVOLCA, network with potential collaborators, and stay ahead of industry trends.
Participate in monthly progress meetings to track team objectives, offering ideas and updates on ongoing projects.
Research & Scouting Stay informed about industry trends, scouting for emerging talent, and creative strategies that can benefit AVOLCA and its artists.
Assist in identifying potential new collaborators and brand opportunities that align with AVOLCA's vision.
Sensitive Material Handling You will be trusted with confidential and sensitive material, including unreleased music, upcoming projects, and collaborations.
A high level of discretion and trustworthiness is essential.
Who We're Looking For: Creativity & Initiative: Someone who consistently brings fresh ideas and isn't afraid to challenge the norm.
You'll be expected to actively contribute to the creative direction of the company.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: A motivated, self-starter who sees this internship as an opportunity to grow within a dynamic, evolving company, with a long-term vision in mind.
Music Industry Experience: A solid understanding of the music industry, whether through A&R, artist management, or other related fields.
Organisational & Communication Skills: Able to juggle multiple tasks, keep things organized, and communicate clearly with artists, partners, and the team.
Flexibility & Adaptability: Comfortable working remotely with occasional international travel and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Long-Term Vision & Growth: We're looking for someone who is driven by a long-term vision and sees this internship as a foundation for a future career in the music industry.
You'll grow as AVOLCA grows, and the more you contribute, the more you'll be rewarded.
Prior experience in a similar field is beneficial but not required.
Why This Role Is Unique: Personal & Professional Development: Gain hands-on experience in talent management and A&R, and learn from industry experts.
This is a chance to build your professional network, gain exposure to real-world projects, and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.
Creative Freedom & Innovation: We encourage creative thinking and innovation at AVOLCA.
This is your opportunity to bring fresh ideas to the table—whether that's a new way to engage with fans, build brand partnerships, or market the artists we work with.
If you have bold, creative ideas and a passion for making things happen, this is the place for you.
Autonomy & Ownership: At AVOLCA, you'll have the opportunity to take initiative and make key decisions within your role.
This is not a traditional internship where you just follow orders—you will be trusted with responsibility and encouraged to lead projects that align with your skills and interests.
Global Exposure & International Reach: Working at AVOLCA gives you the rare opportunity to collaborate with international talent and contribute to projects with a global reach.
You'll be working on international events and brand partnerships, allowing you to gain experience in both domestic and international markets.
The experience you gain here will set you apart in the global music industry.
Collaborative Environment & Mentorship: You'll be working directly with a close-knit team and have the chance to be mentored by experienced professionals in the industry.
Your voice will be heard, and we'll guide you to sharpen your skills while encouraging your growth.
We believe in collaboration and innovation, and this is the perfect environment for someone looking to develop both professionally and personally.
Flexible Work Environment: While this is a primarily remote role, there will be opportunities for you to travel internationally and attend key music events.
You'll have the flexibility to manage your own schedule, allowing you to balance creative and administrative work with personal commitments.
We believe in results, not clock-watching.
However, please note that your availability will be needed for AVOLCA-related events, such as the Eurosync international camps, and other key events that may require your participation both domestically and internationally.
Shape AVOLCA's Future: As AVOLCA continues to grow, you'll be a vital part of shaping our trajectory.
Your contributions will directly influence the future of the company, and you'll be able to look back and say you were there at the start.
If you're someone who wants to leave a mark on the music industry, this is your chance.
