Job summary Do you have an interest in patient education?We are looking to recruit an individual to deliver a Structurededucation programme for Type 2 Diabetes locally.
Experience of deliveringeducation is preferable but not essential as training will be provided tosuccessful candidates.You should work well as part of a team but also have the aptitude towork independently.
Main duties of the job Interviews to be held 18/02/2025The successfulapplicant will deliver The Type 2 Diabetes, Education programme topatients in Barnsley and also support patients with the set up of glucosemonitoring technologies.The programmeis delivered in several different locations across Barnsley, therefore thesuccessful applicant will need to hold a UK driving License.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential 5 GCSEs or equivalent including maths and English Willing to undertake Diabetes/Adult Education training qualifications to Diploma Level Desirable Qualification in adult education eg BTEC award in education and training Experience Essential Proven experience in presentation skills Proven experience of working as part of a team Desirable Variety of experience in health care or adult education settings Experience of settings standards and meeting local targets Value-based questions Essential In around 100 words, please describe what Equality & Diversity means to you and why they are important.
