Prime Appointments are currently working with a leading manufacturer, based on the outskirts of Colchester, who are currently looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their talented team of engineers!
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with a team of engineers focused on developing high-quality mechanical components.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be required to: - Utilize 3D CAD software to produce precise, detailed design drawings - Develop and refine mechanical systems according to specific project needs - Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve design-related challenges - Create schematics and system layouts for mechanical components - Work closely with engineering teams to ensure designs align with project specifications - Apply SolidWorks and other CAD tools for 3D modelling and simulation Required - Skilled in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) with a solid grounding in core mechanical design principles - Highly experienced in using CAD software, with particular expertise in SolidWorks - Experience with SolidWorks Electrical would be beneficial - In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and component operations Benefits: - 24 days holiday plus bank holidays - 2pm finish on a Friday If you feel like you meet the above criteria and would like to be considered for the Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity, please apply with your CV and contact Mark at Prime Appointments for a confidential chat.
