NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.
This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.

OUT OF HOURS DENTAL TEAM LEADER 6 out of 8 weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) per 4-weeks, plus every Thursday 08.30-16.30 Band 5 Permanent Contract GDC Registered Dental Nurse An exciting new post for a Dental Team Leader within Unscheduled Care Service Out-of-Hours Service has been created.
The working days of the post are Saturdays and Sundays (3 weekends out of 4, on a rolling 4-week rota), and a Thursday all day.
The Unscheduled Care Service operates from Chalmers Dental Centre 7 days per week including weekday evenings, weekends and all public holidays, and at St Johns Dental Clinic at weekends only.
Support from this role during public holidays will be required.
Working closely with the Senior Dentist on duty, the Dental Team Leader is instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of the clinics to enable delivery of high quality emergency dental care.
The role provides leadership and management to a team of Registered Dental Nurses and will undertake the full remit of management duties, including reviews with staff, rota management, and involvement with Health and Safety as some examples.
On occasion, the Dental Team Leader will provide chair side assistance in the surgery and can support the Senior Clinician when urgent situations require additional help.
We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic team player with excellent interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills to join our Dental Team Leader Group.
