The pharmacy department in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated senior pharmacy technician to join the team in the busy dispensary.
The team consists of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication and organisational skills and strong leadership skills.
You must be able to manage your own workload and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow in the dispensary by delegating tasks and duties to the team.
You will work closely with the Dispensary Manager and the Dispensary Operational Team Lead to maintain and develop the service.
There is a commitment to continuing professional development.
Candidates must have the National Certificate in Pharmacy Services and Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent and should also have completed the HN unit: Procedures for Pharmacy Dispensary Checking Technicians or Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician Award (provided by Buttercups or NPA, 2019 or before) and HNC Pharmacy Services Development and Management or be able to demonstrate equivalent competence.
Candidates will be required to evidence registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in the application form and at interview.
