Responsible for the operational management and coordination of safe and effective patient flow process of elective and emergency trauma patients in the Acute Medicine of the Elderly and Regional Stroke Centre department whilst delivering safe clinical practice and the national access targets for waiting times.
To co-ordinate and maximise bed usage within the Acute Medicine of the Elderly and Regional Stroke Centre wards at the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh.
Ensure safe and effective movement of patients from the Acute Medicine Unit and from the Emergency Department.
