The postholder will provide public health leadership across three screening programmes (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm screening, Diabetic Eye screening and Pregnancy and Newborn screening).The postholder will be responsible for a team of Public Health Project Managers and Project Officers within the Public Health Directorate and will work closely with the Heads of the relevant clinical services to ensure effective delivery of the screening programmes across the whole pathway.The postholder will drive work with colleagues across the system to strengthen the screening programmes, ensure equity of access and to reduce health inequalities.
They will provide public health advice and expertise to guide the development of the programmes, support incident investigations and ensure effective governance.
