This is an exciting opportunity to work within the East Region Health Protection Team which sits within the departments of Public Health in four health board areas: NHS Borders, NHS Fife, NHS Forth Valley and NHS Lothian.
As the manager of the project team the post holder will lead a project to transition the service to having a single employer.
The post holder will ensure the project has an achievable project plan and will co-ordinate the organisational change processes for the four boards alongside developing service level agreements between the boards for financial management and governance.
The post holder will require excellent negotiation and communication skills to facilitate change within the four board areas.
A background in managing change and projects in large organisations would be desirable.
The post holder will work closely with the ERHPS service manager and have line management responsibilities for a project support manager.
The post is full-time, on a 1-year fixed term basis.
The successful candidate will have a base in Edinburgh (base TBC but likely Astley Ainslie hospital or West Port offices) and will be required to travel to meetings in the four health board areas.
