2 Posts available – Medicine of the Elderly / Stroke rehabilitation wards in the Royal Victoria Building, WGH We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Physiotherapy Teams in the Western General Hospital.
This post will work alongside physiotherapists in the Stroke and Medicine of the Elderly wards within the RVB (Royal Victoria Building) providing rehabilitation to frail and often acutely unwell elderly patients.
Candidates should display evidence of experience of teaching prescribed exercise programmes, gait re-education, general rehabilitation skills and administrative tasks.
The individual must display excellent communication and organisational skills, with an ability to work alone or with others.
Experience of working on wards in an acute hospital setting would be ideal, in particular working with frail elderly people, and /or people with stroke Previous experience as a physiotherapy assistant or within the physiotherapy profession would be beneficial.
Physiotherapy Services support staff development through appraisal processes, supervision and CPD opportunities.
