Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Work Pattern - Mon - Thurs 8am - 4pm - Fri - 8am - 3pmTo provide an effective administrative and clerical service in relation to Waiting List Management to ensure the smooth running of this service.
Prompt and accurate input of patient details to appropriate waiting lists and booking of elective patients to H&N (Head and Neck) Surgery and General Surgery for all Lothian and national patients where applicable.
Ensure confirmation of booking to reduce DNA rate and maximise theatre utilisation.
Liaise with Bed Management/wards re bed availability for elective patients.
Maintain pre-admission clinics highlighting potential problems.
Compile and distribute weekly detailed admission lists.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
