1st Line Support Engineer Location: Southampton, UK Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: £24,000 Per Annum The Role We are currently looking for a 1st line Support engineer to join a dynamic IT team as a 1st Line Support Engineer and make a difference in a growing business.
Key Responsibilities: As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for technical issues and support requests, ensuring smooth operations for all users.
Your day-to-day tasks will include: Supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems.
Troubleshooting mobile devices, desktop systems, printers, and scanners.
Installing and configuring hardware, with strong PC configuration skills.
Providing remote and on-site technical support.
Required Technical Skills & Experience: Proficiency in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Mobile and desktop support experience.
Knowledge of printers, scanners, and general hardware configuration.
Personal Skills: A proactive attitude with a desire to develop and succeed.
Excellent communication skills, suitable for users at all technical levels.
Exemplary telephone manner.
Strong problem-solving abilities and resolution skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships and trust.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications: Working towards Microsoft Certifications.
Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
Backup monitoring and management knowledge.
Networking experience, including LAN/WAN and firewalls.
Familiarity with ITIL principles.
Proficiency in creating network documentation.
Experience with remote support tools, helpdesk systems, and monitoring software.
