The successful candidate will be fullysupported and have opportunities to extend knowledge, skills and educationwithin are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated nurse tojoin the dermatology nursing services in Barnsley.
This is an exciting nursingappointment and will work in close collaboration with Lead nurse, Clinicalnurse specialist in drug monitoring, Cancer nurse specialist and clinicians tosupport our vision of a fully integrated Dermatology a registered nurse you will be responsible for supporting yourmanager in ensuring that our service users needs are met through the deliveryof high quality care.
As a centre of excellence, you will offer person-centeredapproach to their independence and well being.Be a registered nurse with experience in Dermatology, who possesses thespecialist skills and qualifications to assess and treat patients within theirspecific remit.Act as autonomous practitioner in forming clinical decisions andcomplex management plans in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment ofpatients.
Main duties of the job The post holder willbe responsible for helping to develop aspects of the Dermatology service includingphototherapy, physical and psychological assessment, symptom management, healthpromotion and lifestyle education to support shared decision making andself-management.
Working as a team within the multidisciplinary team.The nursing teamundertakes Nurse Led outpatient clinics including phototherapy, iontophoresisfor hyperhidrosis, nurse led minor surgery sessions, Photodynamic therapy, Legulcer assessment, cosmetic camouflage and acne clinics.
The Clinical nursespecialist is involved in Biologics clinic and systemic drug monitoringclinics.
