About the Role We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a pupil with additional needs.
This is a full-time, ongoing position where you will play a vital role in helping the child access their education and thrive within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one support to a pupil, adapting teaching strategies to meet their individual needs.
Assist with learning activities and ensure the child is engaged and progressing in line with their goals.
Support social and emotional development, fostering confidence and self-esteem.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Monitor and record the pupil's progress, providing feedback to staff and parents/guardians.
Promote inclusion and help the child integrate with their peers during group activities.
Maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment.
What We're Looking For Previous experience working with children, ideally in a 1:1 or SEN support role.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with children.
A proactive and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the child.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or National Curriculum is an advantage.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, childcare, or equivalent) are desirable.
