About the Role: As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in Grantham , you will play a vital role in supporting a student with Special Educational Needs , helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieving their full potential.
You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (TA): Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans for the student with SEN to tailor educational activities and resources to meet their specific needs.
Provide one-on-one support to the student with SEN to help them understand and complete their work, providing additional explanations and assistance as needed.
Monitor and assess the student's progress, provide feedback to teachers and adjust support strategies as necessary.
Participate in meetings and discussions to share insights and strategies for supporting the student's learning and well-being.
Help foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where the student feels valued and included.
Employ different instructional techniques and materials to cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of the students.
Keep detailed notes on the student's development and communicate this information to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties.
Requirements of 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (TA): Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with the student, parents, and colleagues, building positive and supportive relationships.
Demonstrate the ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community.
Show a deep commitment to helping the student with SEN by exhibiting patience and empathy in your interactions.
Additional qualifications or training in special education are advantageous but not mandatory, providing you with additional skills and knowledge to support the student with SEN effectively.
To work with GSL Education as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need: Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
