1:1 Learning Support Assistant Role: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant Salary: Starting at £12.90 per hour Location: SA71 Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (no weekends) Closing Date: Friday 6th December Teaching Personnel are searching for a 1:1 teaching assistant to support children with additional learning needs who are based in a Learning Resource Centre.
We are working with a secondary school in the Pembroke area, which has links to a Learning Resource Centre to support children who have additional learning needs.
The successful candidate will be supporting a child with additional learning needs on a 1:1 basis whilst they are in mainstream education.
Role of a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant: Provide 1:1 support with a designated pupil, throughout lessons and during breaks.
Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of pupils.
Encourage pupil to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
Promote self-esteem and independence.
Provide detailed and regular feedback to teacher on pupils' progress.
The Headteacher is looking for someone who is confident and personable.
They must also be resilient as there will be some days where work will be challenging.
1:1 learning support assistants will also possess the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
