Responsibilities 0-19 Public health staff nurse/ midwife posts Various hours from 22.5 to 37.5 hours Opportunities across the Kirklees area Salary - band 5 (£29,970 - £36,483) We have opportunities for 0-19 Public health Staff Nurse/ midwife roles working within Locala's forward thinking, innovative 0-19 teams.
The roles will offer the opportunity to experience public health nursing practice.
You will work as part of a locality based 0-19 skill mix team to provide support to children, young people and their families.
We will be offering further opportunity to access the development pathway once in post (courses dependent) and can offer support for you to meet the entry requirements, if required.
If you choose a development pathway this would involve a period of work-based practice development in preparation to commence the current post-graduate Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Programme or the post-graduate apprenticeship route (approval pending) in the arena of Health Visiting.
Successful applicants will then undertake the SCPHN education pathway/Apprenticeship from September 2025 (courses defendent and service need), where they will be supported to achieve their programme outcomes by a Community Practice Teacher/Practice Assessor in their workplace.
Following successful completion of the SCPHN course the post-holder will be awarded a band 6 Health Visiting post within Locala.
