Their products are predominately used in the power generation and automotive sectors.
Due to a sustained period of growth and a commitment to introducing new products and to drive efficiency within the current assembly operation we are looking to recruit an Engineering & Warehouse Operative who will be responsible for inputting the relevant data into the SAP system.
This role is initially offered on a minimum 9 month contract with the real possibility that this will be extended well beyond.
Overtime is available and paid at premium rates.
What the Role will Involve: Ensure the yard and associated areas are kept in a clean safe and tidy condition.
Loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required and acting as Banksman to ensure the safety of all while delivery and collection vehicles are on site.
Preparing machines and ancillaries for loading into containers or on to vehicles Ensure all items that are required to be recorded and reported are completed in line with the timeline and quality required.
Goodsin carrying out inspections of incoming materials and checking for and reporting damages.
Goodsout checking items for damages .
Prepare stock for storage in the yard and other on site storage facilities/ Delivering items to the Production areas Site Maintenance duties including but not limited to the following : Grass mowing Hedge Trimming DIY tasks Leaf and litter clearance Ensure pallets / cable drums are stored in an orderly fashion.
Assisting with the storage of Waste and recycling materials Requirements What we are looking for in the Yard Operative: Experience in a similar role in a busy yard in a engineering / manufacturing / logistics environment.
Experience operating a Counterbalance FLT.
Driving license.
