Job Role: Workshop Supervisor Location: West Bromwich Pay: £50,336 Basic Shift: 4 on 4 off Contract: Full time Permanent role Workshop Supervisor Opportunity My client, a well-established fleet maintenance company with depots across the UK is actively seeing to employ an experienced and qualified Workshop Supervisor to be based out of a depot in the West Bromwich area to work on a full time permanent basis.
Working on an internal fleet of trucks (DAF & IVECO) and Trailers (Don-bur & Cartwrights) Workshop Supervisor duties To carry out the safe and efficient inspection, service and repair of all vehicles, trailers and ancillary equipment in line with agreed schedules and operating procedures Ensuring repairs are carried out to meet or exceed the minimum standards as laid down by VOSA.
Complete MOT quality checks Distribute work to other technicians on the shift Carry out duties in a manner consistent with established safety, environmental and maintenance procedures.
Work with VMU shift Co-ordinator / FLM and Logistics team to ensure vehicle availability in accordance with delivery schedules.
To achieve shift KPI's by working in an efficient and effective manner.
To ensure that vehicles other fleet assets are maintained in accordance with company and VOSA standards.
Assist the VMU Co-ordinator / FLM to liaise with the Transport and Logistics departments about vehicle availability.
Workshop Supervisor qualifications required • In order to qualify for the role, the successful HGV Technician will have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds) or be time served on heavies • You must have detailed experience as an HGV Technician and be familiar with modern commercial vehicles.
