We know our people are the key to our success, and we're looking for a VMU Coordinator to join our team and help us deliver excellence in our vehicle maintenance operations.
The Role: As a VMU Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our Vehicle Maintenance Unit.
Working as part of a close-knit team, your focus will be on meeting operational targets while maintaining vehicle safety and reliability to support our logistics and transport operations.
About You: We're looking for a proactive, results-driven professional with strong communication and organizational skills, who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Essential Skills Demonstrated understanding of Health and Food Safety principles. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and perform under pressure. Customer-focused mindset with excellent planning and organizational abilities. City and Guilds qualification or equivalent in Vehicle Crafts. Key Responsibilities Foster a Safety First culture, ensuring adherence to Allied Bakeries' policies and procedures. Coordinate shift activities to achieve KPIs and uphold safety and quality standards. Prioritise and organise workloads, maximising resource efficiency and highlighting any non-compliance issues. Collaborate with Transport and Logistics teams to ensure vehicle availability and minimise downtime. Liaise with subcontractors to maintain high standards and cost efficiency. Ensure all vehicles meet company and DVSA compliance standards. Facilitate effective communication between shifts and VMU leadership.
