If you love filming and creating content, and have a passion for mountain biking and travelling, then Play Sports Network has the perfect job for you!  Play Sports Network is looking for an off-road Video Creator to join our team based in Bath.
This vacancy is for our channels EMBN, GMBN, GMBN Tech and EMBN Tech.
We're looking for someone who is confident on a mountain bike, as this role will require you to travel and ride with our presenters on location shoots; you'll even get to record content from your bike!  You will be contributing to the filming and editing of Play Sports Network video output.
Whilst the role is based from our offices in Bath, you will have to travel to work on location shoots, both in the UK and abroad.
You must have a passion for creative filmmaking and some previous video creation experience.  Creators are responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for broadcasting.
The material may include camera footage, images, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
This is a key role in the production process and your skills can determine the quality and delivery of the final product.
Creators work independently and with Presenters / other Creators to complete projects and film amazing content.  You will need a full, UK Driving Licence and a Passport to allow for travelling, where required.
Whilst we try to keep to the standard weekly working hours whenever possible, there may be occasions where you are required to work outside of these to ensure that content is delivered, so you'll need to have some flexibility with this.  Although this role is dedicated to our off-road output, you may be required to work as Creator on any of Play Sports Channels, including GCN, GCN Tech and GTN, from time to time.
Role Responsibilities: Filming and recording shoots Using your creativity to film engaging content that reflects Play Sports Networks brand and Off Road Channels Editing and assembling footage using Adobe Premier Pro Travelling to shoots in the UK and abroad Handling and looking after company filming equipment, and making sure that it is always used within PSG's equipment guidelines Liaising with Production Coordinators to ensure that filming schedules are up to date and that shoots can go ahead on time Working with in-house Graphic Designers and Motion Graphic Designers to ensure that graphics are ready on schedule Working with our Audience Development team to help provide them with cuts for thumbnails and images for social media channels Skills and Experience required: Experienced in location and studio filming Skilled off-road cyclist.
You'll need to be confident with filming content from the back of a bike, and riding in off-road locations for shoots.
Proficient with video editing software – Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar Comfortable shooting video, and operating lights and audio equipment Able to prioritise projects and complete them with efficiency and accuracy Able to learn quickly and adapt to changes in organisational priorities Team working skills - You'll be working closely with Presenters and other creators collaboratively Organisational skills Success outcomes of the first six months: Have developed good working relationships with the off-road creative team.
This includes Presenters.  Developed influencing skills to move other parts of the video creation process along in time with your video creation responsibilities (i.e.
being able to influence Presenters and Production Coordinators to work to deadlines from our Commercial department).  Be skilled and more advanced with Adobe Premier Pro.  Be able to run video shoots without supervision from the Senior Video Creator Career pathway: Next level: Senior Video Creator Training and skills required: Organisational and shoot scheduling skills; Knowledge of media law and how it applies in videos; leadership skills (you will become the point of contact for Interns and Video Creators).
