Our client is a rapidly growing company specialising in fleet repairs.
With the opening of a new workshop dedicated to their fleet of vans, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Mechanic to join their team.
Position Overview As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of vans.
This role combines workshop-based tasks with on-site repairs, ensuring the operational efficiency of our vehicles.
Key Responsibilities Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and conduct routine maintenance on commercial vans, cars, and other company equipment.
Carry out vehicle inspections and MOT checks.
Ensure all routine maintenance or repair work is documented accurately and promptly.
Report any defective tools or workshop equipment.
Observe safe working practices at all times.
Essential Criteria Proven experience in motor repairs and diagnosis.
A minimum of Level 2 qualification in motor vehicle technology (e.g.City & Guilds or equivalent).
Attendance of a mechanical engineering course.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety practices, including a good understanding of tyres.
Right to work in the UK.
Clean driving licence (highly desirable).
Desirable Skills Exposure to commercial vehicles and a willingness to switch focus as needed.
