East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation TrustAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Medical Secretary/Admissions Clerk within the Urology department based at Colchester Hospital. This post is a full-time position.
This is a key role for the division. We are looking for a dynamic, flexible, and enthusiastic team player to integrate with the current team and provide efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support to the clinicians, patients, and other team members.
You will have attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and plan. You must be able to work using your own initiative and be flexible to work where the need is greatest.
Main Duties of the JobIn this role, you will provide efficient and proactive secretarial and administrative support to the large team of busy consultants and other team members. You will be the first contact for patients and queries on behalf of the Consultants and Department, working as part of a team and supporting other team members.
Skills required for the post include: good typing and audio skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, effective time management skills, good IT and secretarial skills, good communication, interpersonal and organization skills, and being a good team member.
