Infinity Employment are seeking a skilled and experienced Transport Supervisor to join a team of experts specialising in pallet network transport, general haulage, warehousing, 3PL and fulfilment.
You will be responsible for the pallet network and logistics operations, ensuring smooth coordination of transport requirements for customers and third parties.
Continual development of the department by implementing new technologies and procedures.
Be the first point of contact for customers, network depots and drivers ensuring exceptional customer service at all times Responsibilities Manage and coordinate pallet network operations Plan and control logistics for client requirements Utilise IT systems to book and track transport efficiently Solve real-time logistics issues to maintain customer satisfaction Ensure legal compliance with tachograph legislation Maximise vehicle and driver utilisation Communicating with customers daily and monitoring KPI status to ensure we are achieving maximum KPI Reporting to senior management and directors Dealing with queries from all network depots and drivers, ensuring all actions raised are completed within a timely manner To build and maintain a relationship with each customer and communicate to them any problems, issues or queries within reasonable timeframes Answering phone calls and responding to emails from customers and depots in a timely manner Ensure all administration is completed to the required levels and within expected time frames, including but not limited to Insurance Claims and CORs and provide clear and timely communication to customers Communicate effectively with Warehouse and Office teams to ensure key information is shared within reasonable time frames Continually develop new procedures that improve internal administration efficiencies within the Pallet Network team Develop and build relationships with relevant pallet network staff at the central hubs Develop and build relationships with all member depots Manage, Mentor and Develop Pallet Network Planner Attend Regional and National meetings Attend Award Events Liaise daily with the Network Planner to ensure resources are planned effectively with backup plans where relevant Daily update reporting to the Transport Manager on performance, developments, solutions and other relevant information Using forklift on Saturday shift and other occasional times (will train) Occasional tasks at the discretion of the management and additional ad-hoc duties as required Achievement of tasks as set out on a daily/weekly basis within the designated timeframe Ensuring Transport is always presented in a positive manner Compliance with all existing company systems, procedures, and work practices Establishing interpersonal relationships with the company's potential clients and existing clients, suppliers, and employees, providing exceptional customer service Ensuring that information relating to the company and its clients remains confidential at all times Working to become a pro-active and independent employee supporting the needs of the business Skills Pallet network-specific operations HGV Driver/Staff management Computer literate incl.
Outlook and Internet-based systems Good communicator both verbal and written Committed to maintaining safety standards and a healthy work environment Ability to work within a team and support the Pallet Network Planner Driving Licence (Cat B car) Geographical Knowledge, especially of local areas Hours: Monday - Friday 09:30- 19:30 (Normally ) 18:00 finish ) Must be flexible for 19:30 finish if needed.
Occasional Sat AM - one in three.
