The OpportunityWe are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager or Director to the tax team as a Transactions Tax Director.
The successful candidate will support senior leaders in providing tax advisory, transaction structuring, and due diligence services.
This role offers the chance to work on high-profile projects across various industries, developing broad technical expertise in UK tax matters.
Key ResponsibilitiesTransaction Support: Lead or assist with tax aspects of transactions, including structuring and due diligence exercises.Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients, identifying tax risks and opportunities, and drafting comprehensive reports.Team Coordination: Work closely with colleagues across the tax, transaction services, and restructuring teams.Mentorship & Delegation: Manage and mentor junior team members, overseeing their work and professional development.Advisory Services: Provide expert support on complex tax queries, ensuring practical and robust advice.Thought Leadership: Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, staying current on tax regulations and market trends. What We're Looking ForQualifications:Bachelor's Degree (2:1 or equivalent).ACA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification.Experience & Skills:Solid post-qualification experience in tax advisory, particularly in transaction-focused roles.Strong understanding of UK tax, including corporation tax, and ideally some exposure to employment tax, VAT, and stamp taxes.Experience in buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence, including acquisitions, disposals, and corporate carve-outs.Familiarity with accounting principles in transaction contexts, including tax accounting.Proven ability to communicate technical tax issues effectively to both tax and non-tax professionals.Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building relationships with clients and internal teams.
