Trainee Sheq

Permanent Trainee SHEQ required for Local Business based in Lurgan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards across the sites, including its logistics business.
You will promote continuous improvement and compliance, ensuring best practices across all operations.
Reporting to senior management, you will also provide professional advice on legislation and policies, while leading the ongoing development of SHEQ systems.
Main Duties will include: influence teams to deliver top-tier SHEQ compliance and drive continuous improvement Ensure risk assessments are current and implement action plans to minimise risks Develop and manage the SHEQ on-boarding program for all employees, contractors, and visitors Train and coach staff to ensure everyone contributes to SHEQ standards in their areas Conduct regular reviews of SHEQ policies to ensure alignment with legislation and business needs Perform site inspections and safety audits, report findings, and follow up on improvements Manage relationships with relevant regulatory bodies and ensure compliance Ensure all incidents and near misses are reported, investigated, and resolved Collaborate across teams to embed a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement Essential Criteria: BSc (Hons) in Occupational Health & Safety OR NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years' experience in Health & Safety, Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9000 standards Strong report writing, numerical, and MS Office skills Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Ability to deliver training and foster a safety-first culture Self-motivated with a proactive and can do attitude Adaptable to change with a strong work ethic and willingness to travel Full clean driving license and proficiency in English Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8.00 am - 4.30 pm Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE) For further information contact Tanya Lyttle at GenTech Recruitment on Skills: Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9000 Trainee SHEQ NEBOSH
