Trainee School Data Officer We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented School Data Officer to manage and optimise this school's data systems.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting both administrative and academic teams by ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and availability.
*** Trainee School Data Officer*** £80 - £90 per day*** Immediate start – Temp to Perm*** 'Good' secondary school, Central Birmingham*** Data Management, Administration support, System development Responsibilities:Data Management: Maintain, update, and validate student, staff, and curriculum data across our school's information management systems.
Ensure data integrity, troubleshoot discrepancies, and prepare data reports for compliance and reporting requirements.Reporting & Analysis: Generate accurate reports, data summaries, and statistical analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
Regularly assess and evaluate data trends to support decision-making processes.Exam Administration Support: Assist in setting up and managing exam and assessment data, including coordinating with academic departments to ensure all exam entries are accurate and completed on time.Compliance & Data Protection: Ensure that all data activities comply with GDPR and other data protection regulations.
Monitor data handling procedures to maintain confidentiality and security standards.Systems Development & Training: Work with IT teams to enhance data systems, support software updates, and develop best practices for data handling.
Provide training and support for staff using the data systems.
Key Requirements:Previous experience in a data administration role, preferably within an educational setting.Strong skills in data management software (e.g., SIMS, Excel) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.Understanding of data protection and confidentiality requirements, including GDPR.
