Job overview The post-holder will use most of his/her time in clinical activities directly relating to Dermatology.
The total NHS work load is .WTE ( hours) each week.
The post-holder's duties will be primarily based at the Department of Dermatology, Churchill Hospital, Oxford, but their presence may be required in other parts of the Trust.
Clinical care may involve collaboration with and/or supervision of an intermediate dermatology service.
The post-holder will also be required to maintain excellent links with primary care at a personal and administrative level.
New appointees will be offered mentoring within the Department of Dermatology.
Main duties of the job We are pleased to be able to advertise for one part time GPwSI in dermatology with an interest in skin cancer for one year in the first instance to join our experienced skin cancer team in Oxford.
This is a new post.
Located within the Thames Valley, Oxford's skin cancer service is a recognised centre of excellence with one of the highest incidences of melanoma in the UK.
We have state of the art surgical, diagnostic and laboratory facilities in a purpose built unit.
We have excellent on-site links with plastic surgery and oncology with a centralised head and neck skin cancer service.
