Traffic Planner

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Planner to join our clients dynamic team in Grays Essex.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in container logistics and a passion for optimizing transport operations.
Your primary responsibility will be to plan and coordinate the movement of containers efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement effective transport plans for container movements.
Coordinate with shipping lines, ports, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor and analyse transport performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Manage scheduling and route planning to optimize delivery times and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide updates on transport operations.
Qualifications: Previous experience in transport planning, specifically with container logistics.
Strong understanding of transport regulations and industry best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in transport management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
