Job summary We are recruiting for a Therapy Radiographer Team Lead who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (MVCC) is one of Europe's leading and largest cancer treatment centres.
All treatments are delivered using image guided radiotherapy (IGRT) and treatments such as intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and RapidArc are standard for most patients.
We are currently looking for a Therapy Radiographer - Team Lead.
The Radiotherapy department is operational 7 days a week including bank holidays.
External beam radiotherapy is routinely delivered between 8am-9pm Monday - Friday.
You will support the Radiotherapy management team in achieving their departmental objectives, working closely with the Superintendent Radiographers (section leads), Oncologists, Physicists and other members of the MDT as appropriate to achieve department objectives.

Main duties of the job As a Therapy Radiographer - Team Lead you will provide leadership, support and guidance to junior members of staff and participate in the recruitment, selection and retention of staff.
You will promote high standards of patient care and treatment delivery and participate in staff training and education, in conjunction with relevant section leads.
You will be required to manage Therapy Radiography staff and co-ordinate clinical workload, monitor serviceability of equipment and contribute to the maintenance of the department quality will act as point of contact for information, referrals and advice on linac group.
You will participate in clinical audit, research, development and deputise for Superintendent (treatment delivery/ pre-treatment) when required and provide leadership, support, guidance and advice to junior staff and students.
