The client is a venture fund that invests in innovative, early-stage businesses that widen market access and provide economic opportunities for low-income, mass market populations.
The client is seeking a consultant that will focus on developing and writing the technical annexes for their Green Climate Fund (GCF) proposal, including market-facing studies, emission reduction assessments, and other supporting documentation aligned with GCF's template and analytical requirements.
Role and Responsibilities Role: Consultant Direct Report: Project lead responsible for the GCF proposal.
Candidates required: 1 Deliverables: Develop and complete approximately 15 GCF-required annexes, including market assessments and emission reduction analyses.
Align each annex with the GCF's specified templates and submission standards.
Ensure technical accuracy and relevance to GCF funding objectives, focusing on climate impact.
Requirements Experience required Prior experience in grant writing or proposal development for GCF or similar institutions.
Background in conducting climate impact assessments and emissions analyses.
Technical requirements Familiarity with GCF annex templates and requirements preferred Ability to perform detailed market research and data analysis for climate-focused projects.
Soft skills Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Capacity for detail-oriented work within specific guidelines.
Other requirements Ability to work efficiently with project documents and resources, drawing on GCF proposal precedents.
Working Arrangement Location : Remote, collaborating virtually with the team.
Operational requirements Begin work in mid-November, with a timeline extending to mid-January.
Allowances should be made for holiday schedules.
