We are looking for a Technical Author to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in producing and updating technical documentation for a variety of systems and equipment.
What You'll Do: In this role, you will be responsible for: - Interpreting and understanding a wide range of technical documents and drawings.
- Extracting key information from various sources to create comprehensive procedures and operational documentation.
- Working in a regulated environment, with an appreciation for industrial and military contexts and their associated hazards.
- Researching and evaluating engineering source data and specifications.
- Developing and maintaining technical publication elements, including operational theory, testing procedures, illustrated parts breakdowns, and schematic diagrams.
- Coordinating the preparation of illustrative materials and conducting quality reviews of technical publications.
- Assisting in the development of documentation for maintenance, retrofit, and repair tasks.
- Analyzing technical requirements to define project scope and deliverables.

Qualifications: - A degree in Engineering, English, Writing, or a related field.
Key Competencies: - Exceptional written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience with military specifications and document formats.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in technical authoring software and the creation of clear, professional documentation.
Desirable Skills: While not essential, the following qualifications would be advantageous: - A background in Engineering (HND or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or related subjects).
- Experience with Data Modules (DMs), Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Initial Provisioning Lists (IPLs), and Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs).
- Familiarity with recognized industry-standard technical publishing software.
