What You Will Do Ensure that various transactions, commercial structures, new products, or business events are correctly accounted for in the financial reporting.
Implement new reporting requirements within the organization.
Collaborate closely with the central accounting team to produce external reports, such as annual and interim reports.
Independently drive and improve processes and structures of commercial accounting practices.
Act as a key player in structuring commercial deals and contracts in collaboration with commercial teams.
Conduct technical research on complex commercial deals and provide accounting consultation advice.
Prepare month-end close activities, including profitability assessments.
Assist in preparing financial statement disclosures to ensure compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
Liaise with external and internal auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
Engage in ad-hoc projects and have the opportunity to initiate and drive projects independently.
Provide training and support to stakeholders on new policies and technical accounting issues.
Assist in designing and implementing new processes and controls related to commercial deals, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
Develop professionally within an entrepreneurial organization and collaborate with highly skilled colleagues.
Who You Are Experienced and solution-oriented technical accountant with a commercial mindset.
Significant experience in IFRS, preferably from banking, including IFRS 2, IFRS 9, and IFRS 15, in large finance organizations or fintech.
Experience with Swedish reporting and additional GAAPs is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting, in medium to large-sized organizations or in auditing such organizations.
Experience at a Big 4 audit firm is advantageous.
Hands-on experience with complex business structures and sophisticated transaction mapping and design from an accounting perspective, preferably including treasury-related transactions.
Naturally curious with a keen interest in understanding data flows.
Experience in consulting, payments, and commercial businesses is a plus.
A degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a comparable professional education in financial accounting.
Awesome to Have Strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset.
Proven ability to drive process improvements and engage proactively.
Experience in a dynamic international environment.
Known for accounting expertise and a proactive approach to taking ownership of projects.
Strong communication skills, able to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Experience in mentoring and providing training on technical accounting issues.
Closing Klarna's Compensation model and Equity Offering At Klarna, our compensation package includes a base salary and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
To ensure fairness and maintain global market competitiveness, each role in a specific location has a set base salary.
During the recruitment process, we will assess your skills and experience to determine which role is the best fit for you.
Our RSU program features a 4-year vesting schedule, allowing you to gradually become a shareholder in Klarna.
Additionally, you may qualify for our Contribution-Based Reward (CBR) program, which recognizes and rewards significant contributions to our success.
