Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and modernising Mental Health services in Hywel Dda University Health Board.
As a Band 7 Team Lead you will take a lead role in the new community mental health centres that have been developed as part of the transformation of mental health service.The Ceredigion CRHT are co-located with the Ceredigion Aberystwyth CMHT and work towards a joint approach to patient care with the aim of developing a single seamless service to meet the needs of our patients on an individual basis with in the CMHC.
You will need to have excellent leadership skills, along with the energy and enthusiasm to manage the team, whilst maintaining excellent level of care to our current secondary care patients.The service will operate 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and you will need to be flexible in in your working patterns to meet the service need, which may include weekend working.Ongoing support and professional development will be provided alongside personal development.
Main duties of the job You will need to be able to manage your own workload, work well under pressure and be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
You will also be working collaboratively with multiple agencies.
You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and awareness of Health Board wide Policies and Procedures.The Team Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and operational management of the service.
You will provide visible and accessible leadership to staff within the Service, you will be an experienced manager who can provide pro-active leadership and coaching to aid the development of the team in line with the organisations core values to deliver a safe and efficient service to those accessing it and ensure good patient experience with in our services.Key responsibilities would include supervision, appraisals for the team, performance, recruitment and management of staff and ensuring people have timely access to our services.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.Interviews will be held on 05/12/24 About us Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.

We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers, through: Four main hospitals: Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest.
Five community hospitals: Amman Valley Hospital and Llandovery Hospital in Carmarthenshire, Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire.
Two integrated care centres (Aberaeron and Cardigan, Ceredigion).
Community facilities, including: 48 General Practices (GP surgeries), 49 Dental Practices, 98 Community Pharmacies (chemists), 44 General Ophthalmic Practices (including eye health and low vision services), 38 sites providing mental health and learning disability services, care within your own homes.
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Person Specification Qualifications and Knowledge Essential RMN (RNMH) / Occupational Therapist or Registered Social Worker Have a recognised postgraduate management qualification and/or a specialist qualification related to working with individuals with serious enduring mental illness or equivalent experience Desirable Approved Mental Health Professional WNB 998/Practice Teacher Award and assessing or equivalent HCR-20 training Experience Essential Leadership skills, significant current experience in area of practice or similar Previous experience of supervising staff Relevant previous experience of working in a multi-professional/agency setting Desirable Experience at manager/ leadership role Language skills Desirable Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
