LifeBridge ASEND & Rumworth School Temporary Teaching Assistant based at LifeBridge ASEND Level 1 (Grade D Scale Point 6 to 11) Required ASAP until 31 st August 2025 Employer: Bolton Council Location: Bolton Salary: £25,183 (Point 6) to £27,269 (point 11), pro rata £18,941 to £19,540 Salary Grade: Grade D Working Pattern: Term time plus 5 days Working Hours: 32.5 hours weekly Contract Type: Temporary Closing Date: 10:00am on Monday 9 th December 2024 Job Type: Education School based, Teaching Assistants Interview Date: Tuesday 10 th December 2024, timings TBC We are looking to recruit a TA1 Teaching Assist ant to be based at LifeBridge ASEND, which is our post-19 provision.
This is a temporary post in the first instance, until 31 st August 2025.
LifeBridge ASEND is part of the Rumworth School family and it is located on a separate site which is close to Bolton town centre.
LifeBridge ASEND is a registered charity, and a not for profit organisation, and it operates as a specialist post-19 institution, providing education, enrichment and vocational opportunities to young adults between the ages of 19 and 25 with special educational needs and disabilities.
Our priority is to support young adults with SEND to prepare themselves for adulthood, work towards becoming more independent and ultimately gain employment.
We are looking for someone who will ideally have experience of working with young people as part of a successful team.
You will be able to support our young adults effectively in the classroom and also during their off-site visits and their sporting & recreational activities with LifeBridge Plus.
You may also be asked to drive one of our vehicles for off-site activities if you are able to do so.
Our learners all have an EHCP as they have a range of SEND which may include: Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties, Complex Needs, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Hearing and Visual Impairment, Physical Disability and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.
During their time with us, they access appropriate external accreditation, together with other activities and opportunities that support them on their "Pathway to Employment" and their "Pathway to Independence".
Please note that we do expect applicants to be able to demonstrate that they have good personal skills in numeracy, literacy and ICT, and these may be assessed during the interview process.
If you do have qualifications in maths and / or English, we would also need you to provide proof of those qualifications at interview or prior to appointment.
