Teacher of Physical Education (PE) Location: Malton, North Yorkshire Start Date: January 2025 Salary: £125 – £160 per day GSL Education's North Yorkshire branch is looking to appoint an ambitious, energetic, and passionate Teacher of Physical Education to work at a Client Secondary School located in Malton, North Yorkshire .

PE Teacher Requirements: A recognised UK teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent, with a specialism in Physical Education.
A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience teaching GCSE and BTEC Physical Education.
Strong understanding of physical education curriculum requirements, sports coaching techniques, and fitness principles.
Experience working in SEN settings or with students who have additional needs is desirable.
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies, with the ability to follow school procedures and ensure student safety.
An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service.
PE Teacher Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 or small group support for a young student.
Working with young students to enhance their teamwork and social skills.
Demonstrating proper techniques and providing clear instructions to ensure students understand and can perform the activities correctly.
Maintaining a safe environment during physical activities.
Evaluating students' progress and performance in physical education through various assessment methods, such as skill tests, fitness assessments, and observations.
Working closely with other teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' overall development and well-being.
