Your new company My client is a fast-growing SME within the technology sector.
This dynamic organisation has branched their services into Europe and continues to grow at a rapid rate.
They seek a new recruit for their finance team, to specialise in the tax affairs of the company.
The role revolves around compliance, predominantly direct tax, working with local advisors and internal stakeholders.
Your new role You will: Play a pivotal role in managing the company's tax strategy, compliance, and treasury operations.
Ensure tax affairs are compliant, while optimising the company's financial performance through effective cash flow and liquidity management.
Build relationships and work with multiple third-parties Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the company's business goals.
Ensure compliance with all federal/national and local tax laws and regulations.
Prepare and review corporate tax, VAT and other tax returns in all five locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Advise the business on tax implications of transactions, projects, and investments, including CCO, CIS, R&D credits and others.
Manage relationships with multiple different external tax advisors and authorities.
Manage the relationship with HMRC for any VAT and other tax reviews.
Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation and their impact on business.
Oversee the company's cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk management activities What you'll need to succeed You may be a fully qualified or part-qualified tax professional, trained within the Chartered Profession, who is looking to make your first move into a commercial business.
Direct tax compliance experience is essential.
Key skills include co-ordination, time management, working to deadlines along with a proactive and dynamic nature, keen to learn and grow professionally along with the business.
You will have support from the wider finance team, as well as c-suite members, to help drive the role and business forward.
Excellent communication skills are a must to be able to liaise and influence internally and with external advisors and third parties.
What you'll get in return You will receive a salary of up to £65,000 plus package with flexible working options and hybrid working with 3 days working from home.
