We are looking to recruit a Senior Manager for our Private Client Tax team. We are flexible on location throughout Scotland. The Private Client Tax Senior Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to): Manage the client portfolio, and build on existing relationships with clients and their wider professional network to ensure satisfaction with services provided, collaborating with clients, client staff and identifying opportunities to support them further.Provision of high level technical and tax planning advice to clients, working as necessary with other Senior Managers, Directors and partners.Involvement with day-to-day team operations, ensuring internal and external expectations are achieved, such as supporting the leadership team in setting and delivering the strategic targets.Maintaining an up-to-date technical knowledge of business tax, personal tax and capital taxes.Mentoring, training, support and work delegation to team members as well as overseeing them in all aspects of the portfolio, ensuring deadlines and demands are met by the wider client engagement team offering feedback as/when required.Liaising with the client service team and with colleagues in other disciplines to provide a co-ordinated service to the clients.Managing a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring a high quality tax compliance service.Develop and grow the department and the firm by identifying and progressing opportunities to promote the business in the marketplace, sourcing new opportunities and securing new work, with the support of the wider senior management team and Business Development team.Ensuring compliance with internal (tax methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements.About You: Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others.Ability to work to a high standard of technical service delivery to clients.High accuracy and attention to detail.Practical knowledge of compliance and advisory work with the ability to support the wider team/firm to supply advice to clients when required.Relevant experience in this role is preferred.Qualified CA (or equivalent) and above.A leader of your work and your professional learning.Why JC?
