Primary Purpose of the Role: Due to expansion we are recruiting for a Requirements Engineer who can undertake both front-end lifecycle System Requirements tasks, but who is equally capable of undertaking back-end Integration, Verification and Validation activities.
With the opportunity to work across multiple projects at varies stages of the lifecycle including new and existing projects this is truly a varied role.
Principal Relationships: Project Systems Engineering Manager Project Manager Systems Engineering Functional Manager Thales AOW UK (Air Operations and Weapons) Systems Engineering Team Leader Requirements & IVVQ Key Responsibilities and Tasks: As part of a large Systems Engineering department the Systems Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of systems engineering across Air Operations, Systems and Services.
Tasks will include: Responsible for Requirement Management Planning and tools As expert to support the requirement improvement, validation and verification work.
Participate in team decision-making and provide support and collaboration for the team.
Manage project requirements Conduct peer reviews of requirements specifications DOORS tool administrative tasks Requirements capture & management: Capture Customer & End user needs and distil into functional and non-functional requirements Manage the derivation & flow-down of lower-level (Subsystem / component) Requirements.
Conduct System and Subsystem verification activities on programmes Write / Review System and Subsystem verification reports Write / Review & Execute Integration test scripts Skills: Good working knowledge of DOORS and how this tool is used to capture verification, qualification and acceptance data & requirements management To be competent in the use of Microsoft Office Ability to communicate effectively Self motivated, innovative and willing to exercise initiative Able to overcome barriers and make things happen Be a team member working to team goals Experience: Minimum of 2 years previous experience working within a Systems Engineering environment Experience gained in either a solution design or IVV role, with demonstrable, practical experience of these Values & Behaviours: Customer trust One Team, One Thales Develop our People Accountable and committed to excellence Agile and Innovative The successful candidate will need to be able to gain SC clearance.

This role will require SC Clearance.
It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance.
