Syndicate Accountant

HFG are currently working with a London insurer and reinsurer focusing across all lines of business in search of their next Syndicate Accountant.
The roll will be responsible for the timely and accurate close of the accounting ledges, along with the preparation and submission of regulatory returns for the Syndicates.
Responsibilities: The accounting of insurance technical and non-technical transactions in the relevant ledgers of the Syndicates Handling all technical aspects affecting premium and claims Responsible for the development of process improvements and system enhancements Be able to deputise for the Syndicate Accounting Manager and assist in planning and production of reports to ensure that they are produced in accordance with the relevant timetables Preparing Syndicate and Corporate Member Management and annual accounts Contribute to the development of systems for Syndicate reporting.
Maintenance of a sound system of internal controls, including where appropriate SOX controls Assist the Syndicate manager in any other ad hoc responsibilities Profile: Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) Experience within the Lloyd's insurance market for 4+ years TPBN1_UKTJ
