Your new company Our client is a leading media company who sell advertising space/ digital ads operating more than 33,000 advertising sites nationwide.
A few years ago, they brought the construction of advertising sites in house.
Since then, the team have been extremely successful in delivering hundreds of site builds, including their newest digital units, billboards and large Storm installations.
They are working on some interesting projects next year and now looking for a Construction Operative to join our growing team in St Helens.
Your new role You'll be working as part of a two-person crew, spending most of your day breaking up ground and replacing / installing new digital units for our local communities on the many contracts that we deliver on.
This will involve travelling to sites (roadsides and public areas) within the (location) area and occasionally further afield dependent upon business need.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Transport digital units from the depot to the installation site via a HGV truck (after training) Break ground and install digital units.
Replace component level parts on digital units.
Work with your crew partner to manage your workload within the agreed timescales, and in partnership with other local teams.
Follow the Construction Design and Management regulations 2015.
Make sure traffic management is in place before starting work with segregation/prevention measures to prevent unauthorised people within your working area.
Follow our Health and Safety policy and the site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
Correctly use equipment (including working at height), maintain and keep tools/equipment safe on site.
What you'll need to succeed Knowledge, Experience and Attributes: Full driving licence with no more than 3 points Class 2 HGV licence (Desirable) CPCS A36 Lorry loader hook [novice or above] CPCS Slinger Competency in CAT use.
NRSWA accreditation to Operative standard Desirable to have CSCS card, SSSTS Excavation and sub-structure knowledge Understanding of RAMS Ability to read and understand technical drawings Competency in use of power tools such as Hydraulic breakers and Disc Saws What you'll get in return You'll receive an attractive salary of £34,000 or £37,000 with (HGV Licence) annual bonus, paid annual leave 25 days plus bank holidays, opportunities for flexible working, training and development and fully expensed tools and PPE.You will also have a company vehicle to help you do this and if you're not Class 2 HGV qualified then we'll train you up and cover the costs.
