We are looking for a qualified Band 8A PWP Quality and training lead to join our friendly team at locations across Berkshire - (Newbury, Reading, Wokingham, WAM (Windsor, Ascot, Maidenhead), Bracknell and Slough)We are a Talking Therapies service that leads on innovation, boasting a new preceptorship programme for our staff, allowing them to have a clear progression plan and develop in their career with us.
The post holder will support and develop quality improvement initiatives at step 2.
Develop understanding and strategies to enhance clinical outcomes at step 2 and to coordinate recovery deep dives and action plans arising from these.
To plan and coordinate clinical supervision training for new supervisors.
To support the development of clinical supervisors through CPD and supervision of supervision.
Main duties of the job Providing low intensity or high intensity interventions using cognitive behavioural therapy for anxiety and depression Lead on the development of the step 2 service under the direct guidance of the clinical service manager Working closely with the step 3 team leads/clinical service leads and managers to build the interface between step 2 and 3 and ensure a seamless service for all clients.
Develop links and care pathways' for clients.
Lead the step 2 services and team members, managing the capacity within step 2 across West or East Berkshire.
Case management and line management responsibility for the Step 2 Co Ordinator's.

Person Specification Education/Qualifications/Training Essential Qualification in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to post graduate PWP certificate level / LTC certificate of competency / PWP Supervisor training Desirable British Association of Behavioural Cognitive Psychotherapy or BPS PWP Supervisor accreditation Continuous Professional Development Essential Clearly demonstrable significant increase in depth and breadth or knowledge in relation to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy theory and practice beyond the level of postgraduate diploma.
Quality Improvement and/or Project Management training/experience Previous Experience Essential A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience of PWP level assessment and treatment of clients in Primary Care Adult Mental Health Experience of working with a wide variety of clients that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse.
Experience of providing clinical supervision to psychological therapists Desirable Experience of the application of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in different cultural contexts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Essential Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
Evidence of ability to develop and evaluate areas of care and treatment.
Skills in providing advice to other professional and non-professional groups.
Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health.
Keyboard skills sufficient to enter data/write reports.
Experience of strategic planning and leading clinical networks Developing digital clinical programmes Registered with BABCP or BPS for PWP registration or CBT accreditation.
Desirable Knowledge of the theory and practice of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in specific difficult to treat groups ( personality disorder, dual diagnoses, people with additional disabilities etc.)
Additional Requirements Essential Ability to demonstrate an interest in working with adults with 'common' mental health needs.
Ability to sustain intense levels of concentration responding and participating as required.
Ability to self-reflect and use clinical supervision appropriately.
Ability to cope and deal with highly distressing emotional circumstances.
Ability to identify and employ mechanisms of clinical governance as appropriate, to support and maintain clinical practice in the face of regular exposure to highly emotive material and challenging behaviour.
