Job summary We are a busy 29 bedded Stroke Unit - offering specialised and excellent care for patients in their hyper-acute, acute and rehabilitation phases post-stroke.
We also manage other general medical conditions.
We run a 24/7 thrombolysis & stroke assessment service and you will be part of this dynamic team.
We are looking for innovative and compassionate Registered Nurses or Registered Nursing Associates to join our team!

Are you ready to join a forward thinking and professional team?You will have the opportunity to have in house training about Stroke care and knowledge.Within this role, some of the duties you will be expected to carry out include: To successfully complete the Trust's preceptorship programme (applicable only to newly qualified and return to practice Registered Nurses).Maintain a high standard of nursing care applying evidence-based practice.Carry out assessment, planning, delivery, evaluation of nursing care and escalate any clinical concerns to a senior nurse as required.Carry out the daily personal individualised care of patientsMaintain accurate records.Update patient administration systems PAS to ensure real time data collection and confidentiality.Effectively use information technology for the benefit of patient care in accordance with Trust Policy.Communicate with patients, clients and relatives on emotional and sensitive issues.Promote health education to patients, carers and significant others.

This vacancy is for Registered Nurses with full NMC registration in the UK.
If you are an internationally trained nurse that has not passed their OSCE (objective structured clinical examination) you will not be considered for this role and will be automatically rejected, so please do not apply.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered Nurse with the NMC or working towards and due to qualify in the next six months Degree/Diploma in Nursing or equivalent Desirable Teaching and Assessing qualification Undertaken mentorship training Experience Essential Relevant experience of looking after patients in a healthcare environment Desirable Relevant Post-Registration clinical experience Skills, Abilities and Knowledge Essential Confident and calm attitude with an ability to work under pressure Good organisational & team building skills Ability to use basic IT skills Accurate documentation with attention to detail Knowledge of professional issues in nursing incorporating NMC and IPAC Desirable Teaching, assessment and supervision of others Clinical Governance experience Risk Management experience
